buttery goodness

Hey look, I'm still using my blog. Aren't you glad we can still keep in touch like this?
I'm copying thing-a-day to find out whether they're still accepting submissions. I'd expect not, but I'm a curious creature.

Today I made butter. It's a beautiful way to both be productive and get a little aggression out. Remember the ricotta day? Well, we still had some leftover heavy cream. My brother in law and his wifey taught me this great technique. If you like to make your own whipped cream or occasionally use heavy cream but find yourself with a little left over, here is your perfect not-just-fattening-up-the-coffee use.

Step 1: Pour heavy cream into a small glass jar (preferably one whose mouth is not exceedingly smaller than its base)
Step 2: Shake it up...for a few minutes
After a while, you'll notice it getting thicker and thicker. Keep going until you get a distinguishable "thud" with each shake and you get a separation of liquid and solid.
Step 3: Voila. Butter it up.

In other news: I got a domain today for jeweling. Now what do I do??
