day 1: pretty fabric flowers

so, here it is, day 1 and i decided to start off with something fairly simple and not so time consuming (i thought as i sat through an entire pbs documentary about marie antoinette that lasted a whopping 2 hours).

but, in the 2 hours i spent making these babies, i also prepared a lot more "petals" for later use.

for those of you interested, i followed a bangin tutorial from craftster.  currently my little linky icon is showing me that i can't choose it as an option.....hmm....adblocker doing its thing perhaps?  idk...i'm not a computer geek (but secretly wish to be!)  all i know is that right now i can't post the link to the tutorial.  but if anyone would like it, please comment and i'll see if i can't figure out how to get it on here in some way.*

and if i can't even include a simple link, then god help me post the pictures.

here we go....
