e-book

E-books seem to be the latest craze and I can't deny I wouldn't mind having one. But the problem is how would I get all my current books on it?

Since I am planning to get rid of a number of books, I figured there must be something crafty I can do with them.

Materials:

  • 1 old book
  • 1 metal ruler
  • 1 exacto knife
This is by far the scariest thing-a-day I have ever done. I was terrified I was going to cut off a finger or stab myself in the leg. Fortunately, I didn't. Although, I did end up breaking two blades (yes, yes, my fault for twisting the knife).

I did use scissors to cut the pages inside, it was easier and safer than using the knife.

Book covers are a lot harder to cut than I imagined.

I'm generally not a LOL-er, but this one got me. What a great concept.

I'm in agreement with Michaela, you had me in giggles. Might I suggest a box cutter for your more heavy duty projects? It might save a finger...fantastic result.

@michaela: glad I could make you laugh

@pixiewinkle: I did switch to a heavier knife (it was two of those blades I broke). Not sure where my box cutter / carpet knife is. Still haven't finished unpacking everything.

@daria: thank you (but if you look really closely, you will notice that the edges a a lot rougher than they should be - and not always straight).

@ingrid: giggling is good.
