Day 28, Monster 8

I went ALL-OUT today and made this crazy looking thing. It took a long time to sew and stuff and sew and stuff and  s  e  w . The face was easy this time. Thanks for a great TAD 2010; looking forward to TAD 2011! Until then, Grrrraaarrrhh (ferocious monster noise)! Day 27, Monster No. 7

Another somewhat fuzzy, somewhat surprised or nervous-looking monster, this time with limbs AND horns! Now, if only I could achieve that "scary" look...

Thing Twenty-seven: Rainbow Needlebook

The birdie needle case I made earlier in the month got such a positive response I wanted to make more to sell on Etsy. Today I got around to making a cheerful felt rainbow needlebook.

Day Twenty-Six - Zippered Pouch

This is a project that is exactly 6 months overdo.

I have Fridays off, so I spent more time working on today's project than I have on a lot of the projects this month. In fact, I made the pouch once, decided it might be a good time to finally look up a "logical" way to sew a zipper in, and then remade it. I am soooo pleased, and so glad I decided to try it again. I used this tutorial and it was a breeze. It worked out perfectly and I have no ugly seams showing like when I've made zipper pouches before. Now, I'm going to want to make a bunch more.

The image is from a crab drawing that my best friend draws and the pouch is for her birthday, which was six months ago. Tada! Happy Birthday Erica!

Thing a day, day twenty two

Once again, behind on posting my TADs. I can’t believe it’s almost over. The month sure flew by!

The twenty second TAD is actually just finishing up previous TADs. I don’t know if that counts but it’s all I have. I wanted to make sure they were done and didn’t want to procrastinate any further.

We’re due to see Sienna’s friend, Emma, soon so wanted to make sure to finish the hair clip I started for her.

And I also finished the cat pillow I was crocheting last week. I think it came out really cute and so did Sienna! I wanted to show a picture of her little hands grabbing it off the table and then her showing it off (although the photo is blurry, sorry!) I might have to make her her own cat pillow.

Day 24: Bumpy Grumpy Monster

It started out as kind of a cloud-monster/ghost-monster but I didn't like the color scheme (white and light blue-green). Not scary enough. Also, it looked more like a soft fluffy cloud than any sort of even semi-spooky ghost. Not scary! So, I dyed it gray and gave it red bleary eyes. It sort of looks like me (or at least how I feel) in the morning.

Day 22: Monster Madness

No. 3 in a series of however many. Tough design to execute by a novice. But there you go!

Ikyoto Day #22: Felt Christmas Stocking

Since I was flying cross-country today, I wanted to make sure to plan ahead and have something I could complete on the plane((I started this 2 years ago, and had very little left to do on it).  Growing up my sisters and I had adorable handmade stockings made from kits by an auntie, so now that I am an auntie myself, I wanted to do the same for my niece and nephews.  This is the first one done, hopefully it won't take me quite so long to get around to finishing the rest.

Day 21: Another MONSTER

A wee one made entirely of felt. Maybe tomorrow I'll give it arms.
