Help! I can't post!

If you have filled out the regisitration form and have not recieved an email from Posterous|thing-a-day confirming you can begin to post one of these 3 things could be happening

1. You did not enter your proper Posterous account name in the "username" field

2. You did not enter the same email address that you used to create your Posterous account

3. You did not create a proper Posterous account first

If you did all of these things properly, please allow for up to an hour or two delay before you get your official posting email as a contributor and can start to publish your work.

Many thanks & happy making.

Please fee free to comment if you still aren't sure what is going on.

Welcome to Edition #4 of thing-a-day

This year, thing-a-day is trying out a new home which you will hopefully find at least as convenient. We've setup our group blog on Posterous and will be using the back-end and settings that they offer to get this year's sprint going.

What this means is that registration will be slightly different than usual. But once it's done, you'll be able to have your own blog on top of posting on thing-a-day and will have access to easier tools to post and edit your content, as well as follow each other's stuff. And most importantly: no need to struggle with a back-end anymore, once you're account is up and running, all you have to do is send an email to post your daily entries! Faster, easier and more versatile. We're exited about all this and we hope you will be too.

So here is what you need to do to sign-up.

Before February 1st: Registration

1. Create a Posterous account.

2. Fill out THIS form with thing-a-day so we can add you as a contributor.

Starting on February 1st: Posting

The easiest way for you to post on thing-a-day will be to send your contribution to post@thing-a-day.posterous.com. Please note you will only be able to do so starting on Feb 1st so hang on.

If you want your post to ALSO appear on your own yourblog.posterous blog space, make sure you also send your posts to post@yourblog.posterous.com at the same time.

Everything else is managed by Posterous so read their help, faq and other sections to get used to their features and interface.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's great work again!!

The thing-a-day (micro)team.
