Knitted Flower Brooch

Following on from the i-cord flower post of yesterday, I made a forget-me-not brooch today.
I knitted two stems from i-cord, one slightly longer than the other, then attached these to the back of the flowers. I knotted the stems and arranged the flowers. I can either attach the blooms directly to a garment or back the flowers with felt and sew on a pin.

Thing a Day, 02.17: More Nemo Goodness

           

Waddado, everybody?

Real quick post tonight, in between the Olympics, (Shaun White is an amazing human being,) and Letterman.  Made some more Nemos today, (Third day in a row, you guys must be bored with them by now, xD) this time to post in my disused Etsy shop.  (I love you, Etsy shop, really, I do, I'm just lazy and don't like making things that are, you know, for sale.)

This time the magnets (or thumbtacks, as they could also be - haven't put the backs on yet,) are all crab-themed.  Gotta love them crabs!

Since I've been sick, I've been mostly sitting around watching TV and reading, not really listening to music or even drawing that much.  Today I mostly listened to La Vie Boheme a few times, looking for the clip of the movie version, this morning. :P

Tonight's final thoughts:

I'm really getting into the winter Olympics.  A lot more than I was into the summer ones.  Shaun White was amazing out there tonight, and I'm psyched for men's long program figure skating tomorrow night. :D

Thing Three: Mint Chip Ice Cream Pin

I've been wanting to play around more with felt and this ice cream cone idea came to me today. It's made of felt, hand stitched, lightly stuffed with a pin on the back. If you're gonna get ice cream on your clothes, this is the way to do it!
